Do I have to pay for parking at the Wheel?
All parking in the Wheeler Riverfront Plaza is free to the public.
Does the Wheel accept credit cards?
The Wheeler Ferris Wheel accepts all major credit and debit cards. We do not accept checks.
What are the group ticket rates?
Please call the Wheeler Ferris Wheel ticket office at 405.655.8455 to inquire about group discounts.
Does the Wheel close in the event of bad weather?
During severe weather, nearby lightning, or high winds the Wheel may need to close. After the threat of severe weather has passed, the Wheel will reopen. Call us at 405.655.8455 for the most up-to-date information regarding weather closings.
Does the Wheel allow single riders?
Due to manufacturer guidelines, we do not allow single riders.
Will you donate Ferris Wheel tickets to my event?
The Wheeler Ferris Wheel receives a large volume of ticket donation requests each month. To be considered for a ticket donation for your non-profit event, please send an email [email protected] with your request.
Can I bring a picnic lunch to the Wheeler Riverfront Plaza?
The Wheeler Riverfront Plaza occasionally hosts a food truck for guests to enjoy. Please check our social media (@WheelerWheelOKC across all platforms) for more information. Guests are also welcome to bring outside food and drink to enjoy. We’ll even provide your picnic blanket! Stop by the Wheeler Ferris Wheel ticket window to grab one.

Children under 42″ must ride with an adult.
What is the history of the Wheeler Ferris Wheel?
Wheeler District is home to the historic Santa Monica Pier Ferris Wheel. After being purchased on eBay in 2008, over $1 million was invested to refresh and refurbish the Wheel. During its time at Pacific Park in Santa Monica, the Wheel served as a backdrop for countless photo shoots and was featured in numerous commercials.
How big is the Wheeler Ferris Wheel?
The Wheeler Ferris Wheel has a diameter of roughly 83 feet and soars over 100 feet above the Oklahoma River. The Wheel features 20 gondolas each of which can accommodate six riders.
When did the Wheeler Ferris Wheel open to the public?
The Wheeler Ferris Wheel opened to the public on July 4, 2016, providing a new public space destination in Oklahoma City.
What else can I do after I ride the Wheel?
Neighbors and visitors can ride the wheel, relax in on-site hammocks, and play lawn games. The park also features OKC’s most “selfied” spot — Hugh Meade’s “O-K-C” sculpture. The metal “O-K-C” letters stand at over 12 feet tall, providing the perfect backdrop for memorable photos.
